Who we Are
AS OF AUGUST 1, 2023 SHERRODSVILLE CALVARY CHURCH is a member of the Global Methodist Church, the mission and vision of the Global Methodist church is as stated in these sentences but in the following paragraph you will read more about who we are here @ Calvary!
Our Mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly. Our Vision
is to join God in a journey of bringing new life, reconciliation, and the presence of Christ to all people, and to helping each person reflect the character of Christ.
Through our ministries, we desire to share the whole counsel of God with all peoples and to advance the presence and fulfillment of the Kingdom of God in every part of the world and at all levels of societies and cultures. The Global Methodist Church is committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the inspiration and authority of the Scriptures, and the work of the Holy Spirit in conveying God’s truth and grace to all people.
We are a global church that recognizes and deploys the gifts and contributions of each part of the church, working as partners in the gospel with equal voice and leadership. Our witness to the world is marked by mutual love, concern, sharing, and a focus on those who are most vulnerable. We watch over one another in love and bear witness to the transforming power of the Good News as we humbly, but boldly, strive to serve others as ambassadors of Christ!
We here @ Sherrodsville Calvary are a small congregation of Wesleyan tradition that worship approx 80-100 people on a Sunday morning. We are very actively involved in missions both locally and throughout the Eastern US and abroad with physical work and financial donations. We have been sending teams for the past 10 yrs to various Samaritan’s Purse worksites as one of our major projects. One of our major local projects is the Chili Booth at the Algonquin Mill Festival. We are involved with Operation Christmas Child, Blessings in a Backpack as well as a greeting card and bingo ministry at a local nursing home and provide lunch in partnership with the Dover Salvation Army monthly, just to name a few. Our church committees and members all work hard to provide a fun atmosphere for you to worship and gather, not only on Sunday mornings, but also to find a place to get involved in projects and committees or missions that you are passionate about! If you are looking for a home church with roots based in scripture and the gospel of Jesus Christ with a friendly enviroment, come join us – we would love to intoduce you to who we are here @ Sherrodsville Calvary Church!

Atwood Men on a Mission
We currently have a group of approximately 18 men dedicated to doing work in the Atwood area. Typically, we venture out into the community once a month, unless there’s an urgent need that requires a quicker response.
The Atwood Men’s Group typically meets on the last Saturday of the month to embark on community projects. We gather at 7:30 AM in the church social hall. We are now scheduling projects, so please contact Pastor Ken Ogg or John Stocker if you are in need of our assistance.
Ladies of Calvary
The Ladies of Calvary hold their regular meetings on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. However, please note that there may be exceptions, such as the Ladies of Calvary picnic or other special events. To stay updated on any changes to the meeting schedule, please refer to the Announcements.
Purpose Statement:
The organized unit of Ladies of Calvary shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship in our church and community.
